The Dunwich Dynamo 2026: London to the Sea
112 Miles. One Night. An Unforgettable Journey.
The Dunwich Dynamo (or "The DD") is more than just a bike ride; it’s a midsummer rite of passage. Join hundreds of cyclists for an unsupported, overnight pilgrimage from the heart of Hackney to the shingle shores of the Suffolk coast.
The Details
When: Saturday, July 25th – Sunday, July 26th, 2026.
The Start: Riders gather at Pub on the Park (London Fields, Hackney, E8) from 6:00 PM. There’s no official "starting gun"—when you’re ready to roll, you go!
The Finish: Most riders arrive at Dunwich Beach between 7:00 AM and 9:00 AM on Sunday morning, just in time for a sunrise dip and a well-earned breakfast.
The Full Classic (112 Miles): The traditional route weaving through London's quietening streets and into the rolling, silent country lanes of Suffolk.
What You Need to Know
The Dunwich Dynamo is a completely unsupported ride. Originally inspired by the "Cyclists in Southwark," there are no marshals, no sag wagons, and no official mechanical support. You are responsible for your own navigation, lights, and snacks!
